Some perspective

My Boys are so cute, adorable, smart, funny, and sweet. And to be honest the most trying hardest thing I have done in my life. They are at a stage right now where they love to push each others buttons and are always pushing them. They take up so much time and effort and lately especially I have been feeling overwhelmed. There was a lesson in the Ensign a few months ago about Learning from the past, preparing for the Future and enjoying the present. I have been thinking a lot about this latly. All the time people will see me and my boys in public and get this far away look in there eyes and smile and say something like "I remember when my kids where that age cherish them now becuase they grow up so fast" and I usually think something like "what is wrong with me that I feel like I am going nuts and everyone else thinks it was the best years of there life?" For some reason though a recent encounter helped me to gain some perspective. I was in a store with Everett and he wanted to get down and run, but I needed to stand in line so I was holding him. Of course he didn't like that and was throwing a fit. This went on for a couple minutes while I debated back and forth on whether I should leave. When a older man probably in his 80's came up to me and said "one day he is going to be on a mission and your heart is just going to ache for him" It is not so much that what he said was different than others, but for some reason it stuck with me and has givin me the drive to focus on my kids and play with them, try to enjoy the moment a little more. It is hard though there is so much to be done and so little time. But it has become clear to me through my pondering that that man in the store is exactly right. Right now they make me want to pull my hair out sometimes and push me to my limit on a daily basis and yet they have my heart. I love them so much and when that day comes when they leave me I will wish with all my heart they could come back and be that little boy under my feet asking me a million questions and needed me to help him tie his shoe. I am so thankful for my boys I hope that I can be a good mom to them and raise them to be good men. I am trying to keep my perspective and not have any regrets. So as a tribute to my cute boys who I take for granted here are some pictures of them to remind me just how cute they are. I love you Avery and Everett!!!!
