Nothin' like kids honesty

So Avery and Everett sure have a way of making you feel good about yourself. With the sun exposer my freckles are more noticable and Everett likes to ask me "why are you all polka dot?" While driving home one day Avery observes "mom, you know what makes me special?....what....I have a good eye and I am clever. Everett is realy good at sneaking treats....and Dad is the greatest fixer and builder ever"....realy long pause...."what are you good at?". And then yesterday Everett says to me "mom I know why I have a potty seat and you don't"...I reply "oh ya why"...to which he says "becuase I have a little bum and you have a realy big bum...it is like huge (with big emphsis on huge with hand gestures). Wow thanks Everett :). Then to top things off yesterday my cute neighbor who is three says "wow Katie you have a realy big belly....do you have a baby in there?....yes...."oh so like when are you going to pop that thing out?". Nothing like hanging out with kids to boost your self esteem. :)

ok so I just posted three months worth of stuff....so much in fact you have to look at "older posts" just to see. So if you dont want to miss anything (because I know our life is so exciting he he) make sure you go to older posts as well. Happy looking.

Everett Everett what are we going to do with you?

One morning I woke up and realized Everett hadn't come and asked for breakfast. I hurried downstairs to see him standing in the open fridge eating fistfulls of chocolate cake as a second course because apparently Hershys syrup alone doesn't fill you up. This is not the first and only time something like this has happend. One morning I woke up and realized once again I hadn't heard from him. So I walked into the hall and Everett ran in from the toy room and said "I love you mom" I said " I love you too, what are you doing?" as I started to walk towards to the toy room he pushes me back and says "mom you look tired you should go back to bed" I walked into the toy room and saw a bag of chocolate chips all over and he says " I had a treat" all innocent with a smile. He is full of mischeif but I love him.

The Beach

We had lots of fun on our vacation and the boys have been asking "when are we going on vacation again?" ever since. We went a lot of places and did alot of things but the beach was were we spent most the time. Avery was the happiest boy in the world. Austin built some pretty cool cairns and took some incredible photos. The boys dug and dug and dug some more. I asked Everett "where are we" and he said "the big sand box" Here are some pictures hope there are not too many I guess look at your own risk :)

Multnomah Falls

Silver Falls

Siver Falls is one of my favorite places to go. There are lots of water falls to see and some beautiful hiking. My wonderful husband got some great shots of the water falls. I would recomend to anyone to go there.

Woodburn Tulips

Apparently when you tell two boys you are going on vacation to the beach and make a pit stop to see some tulips you are asking for some pouting. The boys didn't care much for all the flowers. But Austin and I sure liked them. One passerby even mentioned as the boys were digging in the mud with sticks "funny they are surrounded by pretty flowers people travel far distances to see and mud is better" Boys will be boys I guess.

Newport Aquarium

The newport aquarium was realy cool they have all sorts of things I didn't even know existed. They have "petting ponds" for kids. They get to touch starfish. anmones, sea cucumbers, and rays of different kinds. My favorite was the Jelly fish....the boys favorites were the sharks of course.
