Happy Birthday

Ok so this is realy delayed but Avery turned four on sep 3rd. He had a great birthday. It was a dinosaur birthday which he loved. He had a friend party where we had pin the horn on the triceratops, a fossil hunt, pizza and dinosaur cupcakes....and then a family party as well. His cousins were singing realy well to him and he covered his ears funny boy.

Austin turned 30 on sep 13th. I had a surprise party for him the sat after his birthday we had lots of fun. The first picture is all the kids on the watch for austin to show up on his bike and let us know it was time to hide and the second was his face when we all yelled surprise. We had 12 adults and 17 kiddo's at the party.

Warhol Wife

We went out to take some fall family photos the other day. We'll post some when we get some worth posting. The boys are tough to coordinate with a timer or camera remote. Anyway, I took one of Katie that was interesting, and then fiddled around until I got this:

Hopefully we'll get some good shots of us all before the leaves leave.

Ambition

As I write this, about 9 hours have elapsed since my friend Brad (see link at left) started the LOTOJA-- the Logan to Jackson cycling race. Not only is it the longest single day race in North America, it's also one of the most grueling. It's got serious hills-- mountains really, it takes place at a high altitude, and did I mention it's really long? 206 miles. Well, here's kudos to you Brad. I came out to support you, but your group went up a closed road just a bit before I found you. Instead, I send on the wishes of this woman (blowing a kiss to you) and hope you have a speedy recovery after you finish in an hour or so.

Kids say the darndest things

So one day after learing the story of Shadrack Meshack and Abendago.....I have Avery in the tub and he is playing with his lego figures and I hear him calling them the funniest names....I ask him "Avery what are their names?" and he says "this is meshack this is moshack and this is to-bed-you-go. He is so funny. He is so so so into dinosaurs right now and we got some books from the library and he is like a sponge he can say the names of the dinosaurs that I can't even pronounce sometimes.

A couple weeks ago we were eating dinner and Everett was being fussy. I in a teasing tone leaned over the table and said "what is your problem kiddo" and he points his finget to Austin and says DAD. It was so funny.
