Family tip to Bear Lake

We had a lot of fun playing at Bear Lake Everett was fearless and walked right into the water and loved to get splashed by the waves. Avery the fish of course was happy to be at a beach again. However would not agree that it was a beach. He kept saying this is Bear Lake, it is not the beach. And he has a point :)

The big cousins front to back Hugh, Aubrey, Alyssa, Owen, Avery, and Jenna.

Everett LOVES his Aunt Andelyn! And she loves him too :)

Fireworks

Everettt was captivated by the first couple fireworks and then he wanted to walk around and explore. He kept saying go go go go....and squirming to get off my lap. Avery thought they were cool and a little scary. He didn't like the big BOOM sound and where we were sitting at the university it echoed off the buildings and sounded like we were in a star wars movie.

Everett is in a phase right now where for some strange reason he thinks that putting things on his head is very funny. He puts socks, toys, food, cups and bowls, pretty much what ever he picks up gets put on his head and he laughs and laughs. He has put cups of yougart and bowels of applesause on his head and this picutre is sweet potatoes.....sigh....I have to keep telling myself it is just a phase and I will laugh about this later :)

Everett likes to pick the flowers in my flower bed and give them to me. Nice thought but my flowers are always headless :)

What we are up to :)

I realized that I post a lot of pictures but don't talk about what we are up to. So if any of you are interested :) Austin just road in the MS150. It's a multiple day ride with one day having a 100 mile loop around the valley and all the proceeds going to MS Society. He enjoyed seeing the valley and came back in pretty good shape. He is toiling away at work (JUB engineering) and has been building a clock and an entry way table out in the garage. He is very creative and succeeds at what ever he tries to do it seems. I recently started up at the Flower Shoppe where I worked all through college. I have to say I think the flower shoppe is my favorite place to be. I love the people I work with, I love the work I do, and I am very lucky to be a part of it. Plus I am working as their "wedding fairy". I go in the night before a wedding and put it together. It is perfect. I get to do my favorite thing (weddings), I don't have to leave the kids, and I get to contribute a little money to our family. I am thankful for this opportunity. Other than that I pretty much take care of the house and the kids. I am having fun watering the vegtable garden in the awesome garden boxes Austin built and watching things grow- I can't wait to eat them :). Avery is 3 1/2 and having a lot of fun in preschool he gets to ride a bus to school and he loves it. He is such a smart cookie. He is starting to read a little. He can sound out small words and is eager to read everything we see.
The other day he said "Mom I wish I had a liahona" I said "why do you wish you had a liahona?" and he said " Becuase I want to go to the beach and if I had a liahona it would point the way to the beach". After a year he still asks to go to the beach. He thinks that jesus lives in our ceiling so at night after I put him to bed I can hear him "Hi Jesus what you doing up there?......" and talks to him about what we did today and what he is excited for tomorrow. He is learing all the primary songs realy fast being in sunbeams and sings them all the time. He sings them to sleep or to Everett when he is sad. He is a lot of fun and I love him so much. Everett is walking all over the place and is pretty proud of himself. Some people talk about 'perma-grin' Everett has perma-smug :) He has this realy cute smug look as he is mastering all these things like walking and talking, and using a spoon to feed himself and going up and down by himself. He is in a such a hurry to grow up and always has. He has never been content as a baby just to cuddle and be dependent on me. He is always working on learing something or trying to keep up with his brother. He says Mom, Dad, Andelyn, (ann ann ann),his aunt who lives with us, Hi, Hey, and no. He says hi to everyone he sees. We have had fun this summer so far playing at the park and the swimming pool. Well till next update we love you
